Today I’m sitting down to reflect and review my Today I’m sitting down to reflect and review my achievements and setbacks for the last year. I’ll be honest, reviewing 2022 was a bit of a struggle this year. I felt overwhelmed. Although I always look forward to this time of the year, it was hard getting through the process. All-in-all I was able to complete many of the goals I had set for myself with a few new endeavours to boot! Here are just a few: ✔️ Added 30+ new designs to my licensing portfolio ✔️ Reached out to 40+ companies whose products fit with my art style ✔️ Started 2 newsletters for different audiences ✔️ Earned the trust of subscribers joining my newsletters - Thank you for being a highlight to my day ✔️ Added new cards to my Thortful shop ✔️ Proudly partnered with Felt ✔️ Created a LinkedIn account and consistently posted Naturally, I didn't accomplish every goal I had, there were a few setbacks along the way. What's one of the first things you do in the new y What's one of the first things you do in the new year? Is it a yearly review of the past year, planning for the year ahead, setting new year's resolutions, reflecting on your word of the year, or something else entirely? In previous years, I'd basically do all of the above and I won't lie I did it again this year but I felt totally overwhelmed by the whole process. 😱 I've been hearing a lot from others about how we should be taking some time to slow down, breathe and live in the moment. And you know maybe they're on to something. For the last few months, I've been feeling pretty tired and generally overwhelmed by just about everything. I'm an overthinker by nature so maybe that's the main culprit here. 🤔 Maybe this year my approach should include slowing down and living in the present moment rather than always trying to be 10 steps ahead.
